One Twenty Three

This week's theme: Habits

Well, this isn't really a habit, it's just Mollie playing outside. :)

One Twenty Two

This week's theme: Habits

So this isn't really a habit of mine, but tending to our super-cool garden has become a habit of Brad's. Here's our first watermelon! How teeny and cute is this?

What, you thought it would be done raining here? Nope. Doesn't stop this little one from dancing though!

This week's theme: Weather

Well, this isn't exactly weather, but I am getting tired of gray, blah, rain. So here's a happy product of lots of rain: GREEN BEAN PLANTS!

This week's theme: Weather

Soooo can you take a picture of "cold" when it doesn't include snow or ice, and everything IN the photo is nice and green? Seems like it's difficult to convey in that circumstance. It's difficult to ACCEPT cold in that circumstance, but that's today. It's 57 at 1:30 pm. I realize that's not frosty, but on May 13 when it's been 85 this week, that's cold. *sigh*

Gray, gray, gray. And don't forget - more rain. I thought this was cool though.

This week's theme: Weather

Well, at the beginning of the week, I thought, "Oh how cool. We may have some interesting weather for this week, and then I can practice with some sun stuff again." Nope. Gray, gray, gray and storms. I am trying to shoot more in manual though!

This week's theme: Weather

What a week for weather photos! I'm sure this was even bigger as it fell, but we were in the closet with the girls, and I wasn't going to attempt a photo until it was all clear. SCARY STUFF!

Next week's theme: Undecided. Uncategorized, perhaps?

There's just something wonderful about a bowl of pure white freshly-hard-boiled eggs, right?

This week's theme: Foods

An extra plate of bite-sized sopapillas that our sweet waitress brought because she wasn't totally sure if Mollie was old enough for them? Score for us! ;) (Although Natalie did eat them all the next day, save one bite for Mommy).

This week's theme: Foods

Mollie's new favorite snack - Cheerios! Natalie still reverts to calling them "Ya-yos," which of course, I think is adorable. I'm pleasantly surprised that Mollie enjoys them so much AND does so well with them. We always had to watch Nat SO close when she was a new eater (and still now, to some degree), but Mollie's a pro at the Cheerios. She doesn't stuff her mouth FULL and then choke like another tiny being who resides in our home (and no, I don't mean Casey). YAY! But don't worry, I'm still super cautious with her. She could turn into another Natalie-type eater in the blink of an eye!

This week's theme: Foods

It's getting to be that time! Peeps are Brad's favorite Easter candy. Well, maybe not favorite. He's just the only person I know that truly likes Peeps. They are pretty cute though! I restrained from buying him a package in every color just for the photo op. :)

Next week's theme: Foods

Sadly, this is a household object for us, even though there are no MDs in our household. It's probably the best $25 we've ever spent. Obviously Brad's no pro, but being able to sneak a peek into our darlings' ears from time to time (ESPECIALLY THIS WINTER) has been worth it's weight in gold. Or something even more expensive. Seriously.

This week's theme: One for the Road
Upcoming theme: Objects that tell something about me

Doesn't this just scream, "I'm ready for the road?" :) I wish it were technically better, but I only had a second, as Brad was literally about to leave with the girlies for a little Daddy date. :) Oh, and what you can't exactly see is that the rainbow around her neck is the strap of a Care Bears purse that was originally mine, then played with by many a cousin over the past 25 years. Natalie loves it, and usually ends up with it hanging this way. I think it makes her look like she just RAN in and it was flying behind her. ;)

This week's theme: One for the Road

Not the most exciting shot (again). :) On my way to get my third antibiotic shot. I didn't realize how ominous the sky looked. Sky is really tough to edit! If I increase the exposure at all, then the sky gets blown. I'm sure there is something I could do with layers, but I'm still a little too tired to play with this too long. Still lots to learn, as usual!

This week's theme: One for the Road

So I'm still sick. Sick with a sinus infection and tonsilitis, to be exact. BUT! I am now on antibiotics and Mucinex D and determined to feel better immediately! Unfortunately, I don't feel as good as I'd like to, but I'm hoping a dose or two more of the antibiotics will help that. So I took the girls to Katie's and I'm working from home today. I had this idea on my drive (yes, we got more SNOW, but thank goodness almost none and I'm sure it'll all melt by noon - YAY!), and found a perfect tire print right in our own driveway. Thanks, Brad! ;) I keep having to increase the exposure in ACR when I shoot in manual, so I think maybe I need to try to over-expose in-camera. Maybe my camera just underexposes by design, or maybe my eye just prefers a bit brighter photo. I'll try over-exposing manana!

Fifteen

This week's theme: One for the Road

So it's still way too cold and I'm too feverish (ugh!) to go too far, so I'm improvising. I've been lazy and have been shooting in Tv (shutter priority - 1/125 so as not to blur busy toddler & baby limbs), and so I'm determined to get good as shooting in manual. Here's my first attempt in a long time. I only had to brighten the exposure a *tiny* bit in ACR.
