Fifty-Two

This week's theme: Foods

Mollie's new favorite snack - Cheerios! Natalie still reverts to calling them "Ya-yos," which of course, I think is adorable. I'm pleasantly surprised that Mollie enjoys them so much AND does so well with them. We always had to watch Nat SO close when she was a new eater (and still now, to some degree), but Mollie's a pro at the Cheerios. She doesn't stuff her mouth FULL and then choke like another tiny being who resides in our home (and no, I don't mean Casey). YAY! But don't worry, I'm still super cautious with her. She could turn into another Natalie-type eater in the blink of an eye!

It's getting to be that time! Peeps are Brad's favorite Easter candy. Well, maybe not favorite. He's just the only person I know that truly likes Peeps. They are pretty cute though! I restrained from buying him a package in every color just for the photo op. :)

This week's theme: Foods

So we're really kind of apple-obsessed around here. Brad's been on a kick to find the perfect apple, so we've tried LOTS of kinds - Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Gala, Fuji, Jonathan, Honeycrisp, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others. Surprisingly, Red Delicious are decidedly NOT the most delicious. At all. I'm a big Honeycrisp fan, but I also love Fujis and Jonathans, especially with some cheddar cheese. It's really good! Apples seriously are the best snack - crunchy AND sweet - and healthy! Although, Brad always has to remind me when I'm searching for something to munch on. hahah!

I really love this pic. I wish the background were something lighter, but I was in a hurry.

This week's theme: Foods

OK I think I'm going to like this theme better. I mean, I like food. I eat food at least 3 times a day (who am I kidding, it's at least 5 times!) How hard can it be? I think the "household objects" was just too broad. I need more structure!

Behold, Brad's scrambled eggs!

Next week's theme: Foods

Sadly, this is a household object for us, even though there are no MDs in our household. It's probably the best $25 we've ever spent. Obviously Brad's no pro, but being able to sneak a peek into our darlings' ears from time to time (ESPECIALLY THIS WINTER) has been worth it's weight in gold. Or something even more expensive. Seriously.

EEEK!!! How did I get so far behind, yet again? I will promise to attempt to do better!!

This week's theme: Household Objects

Pens! Pencils! And Highlighters! Oh my!

Forty-Five

This week's theme: Household Objects

Hey! I thought of one myself today! This is the ultimate necessary household object (in the winter especially) with little ones! Although, with how many times we've visited the pediatrician this winter, I'm not sure if it's doing it's job. *sigh*

Ohhh I just realized I should have gotten the little bottles out of my purse, the diaper bag, and the ones out of the cars. HAHAH!

This week's theme: Household Objects

OK so I've taken to asking others, "What's a household object I should take a picture of today?" Today's contestant was Kim, our weekly dinner guest. :) She suggested our crazy-yummy lasagna (You can find Pioneer Woman's recipe here). Not exactly a household object, but I'll take it! I'm telling you, my mind just goest blank on this one! So here it is, in all its glory. It tastes WAY better than it looks. Trust me.

This week's theme: Household Objects

I'm finally getting caught up posting! I did actually take this and the next 3 on the correct days, I just haven't had time to post them. Also, I don't know why, but this theme is hard for me! Maybe it's too broad!

This Week's Theme: My Favorite Color
Next Week's Theme: Household Objects

So today I'm going to take a break from pink and go with another favorite color: GREEN! Coincidentally, Brad planted seeds one week ago today and checked on them this morning to find this! How exciting! Strangely enough, today is the first day of SPRING, but our yard is covered with SNOW. I decided to take our awesome seedlings out and photograph them on a bed of snow.

March Madness!! This is Brad's bracket. There's actually not much pink on it, but that's because he's doing pretty awesome!

Pink lips, pink cheeks, pink pillow, pink jammies, and even a pink bottle top! She just melts my heart . . . and I love the milk draining out of her mouth too. Hee hee!

Brad makes my life easier - or better, would be the more appropriate word. :) Here's an example - by spending time with Natalie. :) I couldn't ask for a better husband or dad for our girlies. :)

This week's theme: Things that make my life easier

Another no-brainer. The computer. It really doesn't even require explanation. This isn't the computer I use the most, but it was the easiest one to photograph, and I am a lot happier with the composition than I would be of our ugly PC. :)

Oh, and not that anyone cares, but I really did take these last two pictures on the "right" day, even though they look like I took them one right after the other. I just didn't get a chance to post yesterday's during the day. :)

This week's theme: Things that make my life easier

Well, this is kind of a no-brainer. Of course a cell phone makes my life easier. My cell phone gives me a form of communication pretty much anywhere I am, it's my lifeline connecting me to whoever is watching my girlies if I'm not with them, it's the way I get to easily talk to my mom almost daily, and it's even my alarm clock that I can put on vibrate and not wake Mollie! I'm sure I'm missing some other uses of it!

Our 8-second thermometer. With all the sickness in this house this winter, it's been a lifesaver. Today is no exception, unfortunately.

After a day like today, ICE CREAM is definitely on that list.

Oh, who are we kidding, ice cream is always on my list, but it made me feel better after a lonnnnnng day today.

This week's theme: Things that make my life easier

OK the "answer" in this photo is twofold: 1) Monitors, yes, but also 2) SIMULTANEOUS NAPS! Of course, on the day that I choose to take a photo representing those naps, Mollie decides she doesn't need one. So I keep having to get her up to try a million different things because I really think she is TIRED. Her tummy is now as full as she wants it, her ears are numbed, her diaper is dry, and I've given her motrin for her ears/teeth. Oh, and she's not happy awake - don't think this has been solely for my own benefit. This is quite possibly the worst afternoon nap Mollie has ever taken . . . or not taken, as the case may be. Suffice it to say that I will not be attempting to - GASP! - document - simultaneous naps ever again. EVER? Hear that Nap Gods? Never again!

Oh - and the photo. It took me a million tries for some reason (I'm actually wondering if there is something going on with my lens - EEK!), but I actually like how it turned out.

This week's theme: Things that make my life easier

A food scale! This has been making my life easier for approximately 2.5 years now! I used it way back when to weigh breastmilk for both girls, and I use it now more than ever to weigh out my food portions. So this little guy has been very instrumental in my successful weight loss! :) I think my creativity has been a little lacking lately. I was taking this right before bed because I didn't think of anything earlier in the day, so it's just not the best. I have a better idea for today though. :)

This week's theme: Objects that tell something about me
Next week's theme: Things that make my life easier

OK. Again, not an object. But it just so happens that I'm a John Mayer fan AND we went to see him in concert, and that says something about me, right? I didn't lug in my xsi to the concert, this is with my point & shoot. I thought the lights turned out really cool. And, seriously, how awesome are our seats? SO much fun!

Twenty-Six

This week's theme: Objects that tell something about me

Again, not an object. :) Also, not the best photo technically. I accidentally shot this with my camera on Auto, so not even in RAW. There wasn't nearly as much I could do to help out the color issues. But here's the other half of my heart, and isn't she sweet? :)

This week's theme: Objects that tell something about me

So, Natalie is not technically an object, and she doesn't tell something about me, exactly, but she's part of me. She's half of my heart, and I love this photo of her from this morning. She's really growing up!

And seriously, her pink room can be beautiful for photos, but it can also pose some serious editing issues. This one isn't the greatest, but I did my best. :)

This week's theme: Objects that tell something about me

Now, just 3 short months ago, this wouldn't have said much about me, not to mention the fact that I didn't own these running shoes! Now, I guess I could technically call myself a runner! I'm a slow runner, but a runner. I'm ok with that. I'm on week 6 of the 9-week Couch to 5k running program, and for the first time in my life, I'm really running. Too bad this is day 24 because as of now, I've lost 23 pounds (that's not just from running, that's a from a total lifestyle change). It would have been cool to have that milestone on that day. Oh well. For now, here are my new friends: my running shoes, poised on my treadmill where I RUN. Seriously! :)

This week's theme: Objects that tell something about me

Well, this was a late-night-I-almost-forgot-to-take-one-today pic, but I like how it turned out! I have an idea that I'm working on for today, but haven't been able to make it happen yet. Not giving up! :)
